Hanks became the top-ranked West Texas squad and the only El Paso team to earn a spot in this week's version of the SBLive Texas Softball Top 25 thanks to one of the state's most powerful lineups.
The Knights have scored a jaw-dropping runs already this season, making them one of the only teams in Texas to still be averaging more than 10 runs per contest this season Hanks has only lost three times so far this season, all during tournament play, and split a pair of games against two of their toughest opponents in El Paso.
El Paso Hanks also secured several significant non-district wins against 6A and 5A powers in and around the Permian Basin to propel them into District A play, where the Knights have outscored their opposition during a recent five-game winning streak.
